                                     Old Chatham Hunt Club
                                  2011 Trail Riding Series


2011 Trail Riding Series of the Old Chatham Hunt Club (OCHC). The Trail Riding Series
will be held one Sunday a month. The series will start this April, and continue
through the summer and fall ending in October.  Please check below for dates.

Important stuff:
•We will offer both a walk-trot pace and a walk-trot-canter ride. Rides to last
between 1.5 - 2 hours.
•Rides will start at 10am, please arrive early for paperwork and group organizing
•All riders must have approved helmets,  proper boots (no sneakers), current
coggins, and signed releases (see
Release and Waiver of Liability).
•Cost:  $20 for adults, $5 for junior (all juniors must be accompanied by a riding
adult), no charge for OCHC foxhunting members.  
•Cap cards can be earned by volunteering for trail clearing of 2 hours – ask for
details)
•Pot luck lunches will be organized if there is a demand.

We will reply to you by return e-mail with your confirmation and any other details that you
may need.  In addition, you will be notified by e-mail of any cancellations or delays due to
weather issues.  

Please check this website for notices of weather cancellations or postponements
that will posted by 9 PM the night before the ride.

Please note that we will be riding on private land.  Access to the trails is only
granted via permission from each individual landowner.

Beebe Hill
We will offer two
different routes at
Beebe Hill.  One will
be primarily
wooded trails and
the other will be
wooded trails and
dirt roads.  Once
again we offer
excellent
conditioning hills!
From Chatham,
east on 203, left
onto route 22
heading north.  Left
onto County Route
5 and right onto
Fog hill RD.  All
trailers must park
on the same side of
the road and pull
over as much as
possible.

Columbia Land
Conservancy and
the cost will be a bit
higher (TBD).  This
ride will include
some of the most
panoramic views in
the Old Chatham
Hunt country and
we will ride through
fields and woods.
